HUDSON ELECTRONICS - SHAPES OF THINGS Shapes of Things is a based of the classic MkI fuzz, designed by Gary Hurst. The original MkI was used by Artists such as Jeff Beck in the Yardbirds and Mick Ronson in the Rats, well on into his time as Bowie’s sideman. It has spitty, piercing sound that just kicks it out when it's switched on for a lead is like going home - it sounds like no other fuzz box. Shapes of Things comes loaded with two black glass OC70s and a NOS AC125 germanium transistors; carefully matched and biased for the best possible tone.Hudson Electronics, located in Hutton, East Yorkshire, UK, offer hand-crafted retro-flavoured fuzz pedals. We build onto vintage style strip-boards, using new old-stock European germanium and silicon transistors, along with high quality components. Every aspect of each build is completed by hand with high attention to detail, from the application of graphics through to final assembly and testing: authentic fuzz tones, precision construction and thorough after market care.Each hudson pedal is built by hand from scratch onto vintage-style stripboard, using high quality components and with a high attention to detail. They come loaded with a Omeg (UK) pots, a heavy duty Alpha switch, Re’an Jacks, carbon film resistors, WIMA / BC capacitors and other high quality components.Controls Level – Controls the overall volume of the pedal Attack – Sets the bias on the second transistor - set where it sounds good to you and away you go. Power Like the many vintage fuzz pedals, the Shapes of Things runs on batteries only. Disconnecting the input jack when not in use allows a single battery to last a long time, owing to the very low current draw of the circuit. We fit and recommend Zinc Chloride or Zinc Carbon type batteries
