Gorgeous Black Edwardian Silk Mourning Dress with Leg of Mutton Sleeves
I acquired this beauty from the great grandson of the original owner. It came from a small town in Norway.
The construction of this dress is simple but perfect. The fabric is solid and strong. This dress has been well kept. In wonderful condition with the exception of some loose threads on the lace collar and a small rip above the opening.
Otherwise no holes or stains or smells.
This dress will fit a modern day lady without all the corsets and extra undergarments.
4 hooks and snaps at the back of the neck.
5 snaps on the left hand side, and an extra belt type feature with another 4 snaps.
1 snap on each sleeve and 2 metal spools in the lace collar.
19 decorative buttons down the back.
Gorgeous leg of mutton sleeves.
This dress is museum worthy in my opinion and extremely wearable.
