Looking for a Dedicated Rider for Cuzco on Fridays– Starting August 2026,
Cuzco is a 13-year-old French Saddle Pony (140 cm) looking for a committed and horse-loving rider once a week, starting Fridays from August 2026. There may also be an opportunity to spend time with him on weekends for light work or hikes.
He lives at Søndre Ringerike Gård, a private stable just 15 minutes from central Oslo, right next to Wyllerløypa and Tryvann Ski Center. The stable has an indoor and outdoor arena, as well as lovely trails for hacking.
****Who We’re Looking For****
We welcome motivated riders, including those with riding school experience who are ready to grow and take more responsibility.
If the rider is under 18, a parent or guardian must be actively involved — including helping with chores and stable responsibilities — to ensure everything is done properly and safely. Parents must be the ones to contact us. Please be aware that being a "forytter" can easily take up 3 to 4 hours of your time.

-Under 1.68m tall (due to Cuzco’s size)
-Who wants to improve, learn, and form a real connection with the pony
-Who is confident on the ground, willing to take initiative, and not intimidated by a cheeky pony
Cuzco is a clever and versatile pony with a school-horse background. He has mostly worked in low-level dressage recently and is very well-educated. He also enjoys trail rides, alone or in a group. He can be playful and will test his rider now and then — especially if he senses uncertainty — so he needs someone who can stay calm and not get overwhelmed. He’s a great teacher for riders ready to step up from the riding school environment.
**Practical Info**
400 kr per day (includes all equipment)
Tack/Equipment must be cleaned after each ride
Stable chores required: mucking out, filling water, tidying up after yourself, etc.
Optional lessons available on Mondays (not included in the fee)
Weekend access possible for light work (for free), for riders who want to build a stronger bond
All communication must be in English.
