Where do I even start with this little car?

This 2001 Suzuki Jimny has easily been the most fun car I’ve ever owned — and honestly, it’s ridiculously cute.

It even has a mood-based thermostat on the driver’s side that shows both indoor and outdoor temperature. Not at the same time, of course — and only when it feels like working. But when it does work, it seems accurate (I think? Hard to compare).

For most of my ownership, the back seats have been removed and replaced with a full-size dog crate (VarioCage Double M) for my boxer–husky mix. With that setup and the included roof box, I’ve actually carried a surprising amount of stuff.

With studded winter tires and 4WD, it’s a little mountain goat — you don’t really worry about getting stuck. There’s also a mysterious red switch by the driver’s side that I still haven’t figured out, so that’s a fun bonus.

I also bought a pile of maintenance parts with the intention of “restoring” the car a bit, but never got around to it. The car didn’t have issues with those parts — I just wanted fresh components. All of them are included in the sale.

CD player works too, and for a quick sale I might even include Cardi B’s newest album.

Condition / Issues (please read before asking questions)

• Rust: There is rust underneath that must be repaired for it to pass EU-kontroll. The EU expired this summer.

• Gears: The gears are very difficult to shift. It will need work — and right now, the easiest way to get it moving is to start it already in gear.
• Rear seats: I reinstalled the back seats recently after removing the dog crate, but I rushed it (it was freezing outside). They’re attached, but not perfectly aligned. Should be an easy fix for someone with patience and warm hands.
• It has been parked for several months, so there may be other issues I’m not aware of.
• Undercoating: I applied Fluid Film to the underside and chassis areas when I got it, mainly for protection. It doesn’t fix existing rust, but at least it helps slow things down.
• Transport: The car cannot be driven home in its current state (EU expired + gear issues). It must be picked up with a trailer or towing dolly.
• Delivery option: If needed, I may be able to help transport it with a trailer for an agreed price — just ask.
• Battery has been on a trickle charger and the car started right up yesterday when I moved it for pictures.
