Beskrivelse
I will write this ad in English because I expect some interest from the rest of Europe in this boat.
I am also not going to spend a lot of time talking about the GS52 in general. There are literally thousands og pages online to describe this amazing boat. But I will give info about this induvidual boat further down. Besides, I don't expect people who have no clue to show interest in this vessel.
OK, the boat are at the moment located in Poros, Greece, where I arrived yesterday. I will be on board until the 25th of September for those who are interested in video call or specific photos, maybe even jump on a plane to visit.
I would like to apologize for the bad quality of the photos and that their are so randomly posted. Sorry
OK, let's start the ad: I have been to the Yard in Italy where they made this boat, and I know the history of how they came about the licence from Nautor Swan in Finland. They were determined to make a true copy, and even make it better, and they did succeed. I have had many Grand Soleil over the years, and this is not my last, but I deal with boats (only quality boats), and I have 6 other boats, where 5 will be sold.
Here are a few key points for this boat
-The rig is a keelspepped Bermuda cutter from Selden in Sweden. The standing rigging is rod (not wire)!
-It has 17 Lewmar 2-speed self-tailing winches including 2 x 2000w electric winches for mainsail and list of other uses.
- A really powerful "drop-down" baugtruster (No tunnel)
- Brand new full batten main first used on this trip. Same with cutter sail. (Genoa is 160%, so I use it only as a cruising chute :)
- The strong B&G autopilot was appreciated on this single-handed trip I just had.
The boat is 36 years old, so yes, there are some issues. First of all, there has been a lack of maintenance for about 5 years. Not the previous owners ( I bought the boat 1 month ago) faults, he paid a company to carry out maintenance, which they did not do!
Let's talk about the deck: OK, everything in the cockpit is new or recently changed. The rest of the deck is in different conditions. 80-90% is absolutely no problem to fix because the teak is still very thick. Some near the anchor well ( Has a 2500w windlass with an original Bruce 30kg anchor) is very thin, and needs replacing. For the rest, it is to take out old caulking/Sikaflex, sand the deck, and replace. Yes, that is a job, but for many, this is a boat for life, and it will outlive you and your grandchildren if you take care of it, so it's worth it. Or you can take it to Eastern Europe, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, to have it done while you lie on the beach zipping a Tom Collins :) :)
When it comes to the rest of the interior, it's pretty amazing how the Italian craftsmanship can make a teak interior that looks brand new after 36 years. That is the case; most of it looks new. Some of the floorboards can do with some sanding and varnish, but they are solid and thick, so that's no problem.
There are new fuel tanks and reserve tanks with a lifting pump between them. Also, a black water tank. 1 electric head, 1 manual head, both Blake Gosport!!!
When it comes to other equipment, the previous British owner was an older gentleman, and I knew there was not a lot of new navigation stuff onboard, so I took some from home for this trip, like a B&G plotter, an AIS transponder ( Pretty Woman, Norwegian), a computer, and some other stuff.
Accomodation:
Master cabin with king size bed, head, shower etc. Sleeps two. Forward bunk cabin on port, sleeps 2 or 2 couples that still are in love! On the stb there is a retractable bed, that are single, or slide out to a double. Also there are 2 tube-bunks in the sail locker / infront of forward head, sleeps two (of the more sporty kind...) Also you can make it pretty comfortable in the saloon if you intent to invite all your friends :)
I can't mention everything, but what I can say is this is a mascine of a GRAND blue water cruiser. As safe as they come. If you are into new boats made in Germany, eastern europe or France, well then we are on so different therms, so there is no need to contact me. Im on the boat for another week, so you can contact me. This boat is priced to sell quickly, so if you think its for you, no time to hesitate. Kind regards from Kai Alex Dahl, +47 92267910 (Euro 72.000 Bottom price)
