R-World is calling. The R3 is the ultimate lightweight Yamaha supersport inspired by Yamaha’s MotoGP M1 race bike featuring a compact agile chassis, a high-revving 321cc engine that provides outstanding acceleration and an aerodynamic race-derived bodywork including winglets.

With a new look for 2025, fans of the R-range will instantly recognise the new R3 as a legitimate Yamaha supersport with its new glaring twin-eye face featuring integrated powerful headlights and LED position lights, flanking an M1-inspired air duct positioned above new aerodynamic winglets.

Multi-function LCD instrumentation and smartphone connectivity unlock a world of information about the R3 using MyRide, while high-specification 37 mm inverted front forks ensure precise suspension feel and feedback for every ride, and a slimmer ergonomic profile makes putting your feet down easy.

Next-generation R-Series styling

Featuring next-generation R-series styling inspired by the flagship road R9 model and track R1GYTR and RACE models, this is the sharpest and most sophisticated R3 ever built. With a central M1-styled air duct flanked by sleek twin-eye headlights and LED position lights, plus aerodynamic winglets, the R3 is a pure R-Series supersport machine.

Aerodynamic integrated winglets

Aerodynamic efficiency has been taken to the next level on the R3 with integrated winglets situated below the M1-style air duct to set a new standard in the lightweight supersport category. Airflow is now managed and directed rapidly around the sleek new full fairing and up towards the R-Series tail for a race-engineered aero effect.

Twin-eye headlights and position lights

The R3’s face oozes next-generation R-Series DNA. With powerful projector headlights and strong LED position lights integrated into the sleek new fairing design, the R3 exudes style and sophistication.

Slim ergonomic profile

The R3’s new slim ergonomic profile boasts a thinner overall seat width and slimmer side panels. This makes it even easier for the rider to put their feet down and feel completely in control at every stop.

New A&S clutch

The R3’s premium specification includes an Assist & Slipper clutch to give the rider maximum control under hard deceleration, while also preventing engine over-rev and rear-wheel hop resulting in more predictable and controllable handling.

Smartphone connectivity through MyRide app

Smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth unlocks a new world of data and information about your R3, while also enabling on-screen call, text, and email notification on the multi-function LCD instrumentation. After every ride, check out ride statistics, important bike information, and tracked-journey data are all available through the MyRide app.

High-revving 321cc EURO5+ engine

With a compression ratio of 11.2:1, double overhead cams (DOHC) and four-valve cylinder heads, the 321cc two-cylinder motor is designed for quick-revving performance and high-rpm efficiency. With a maximum power output of 30.9 kW (42PS) at 10.750 rpm, the R3’s potent EU5+ engine delivers thrilling acceleration with an exciting ride and a broad spread of power.

High specification suspension

The R3 is equipped with 37mm KYB upside-down front forks that provide optimum ‘front end feel’. Whether travelling through the streets or attacking lap times on track, the R3’s perfect balance of shock absorption and handling stability give maximum feedback and confidence to the rider.

Powerful braking performance

The 298mm floating-mount front disc brake ensures excellent stopping power with plenty of feel at the lever, while a 220 mm floating disc handles the braking performance at the rear. With its ABS anti-lock braking system, the R3 can ride confidently, even when traction is reduced in wet or slippery conditions.

Multi-function LCD instrumentation

Completing the race-inspired cockpit of the R3 is a new LCD instrumentation cluster presenting the model's key riding and vehicle-based information. In addition, when a smartphone is connected via Bluetooth and the MyRide app, call, text, and email notifications can also be displayed on screen.
