Comfort Comfort 30

Sol is a stable and nice sailboat, well suited for beginners. Spacious cockpit with space to stretch out on the benches, the autopilot makes long trips very comfortable. Wonderful boat, with some recent updates happily sailed more than 1000nm (Rørvik to Tromsø, Tromsø to North Cape and back) over the past 2 seasons. Great sailboat I have gone as a max speed of 11knots, but avarage is on a nice windy day 6-7knots, sails really well also with light wind.

Last year I have done quite a bit of work and updates boat. New sprayhood (I made it myself, so may not be the most beautiful, but it's has been great protection), insolation with Depron panel on the whole boat (this is currently an ongoing project, as it has been covered with layer of epoxy for protection but it has not yet been painted). Jib and genoa sails, not the newest but still works well on an old school clip on system. New halyards for both the mainsail and the genoa, new toilet, 2 batteries connected as 1 pack with new smart Victron battery charger (this is great to keep on eye on the batteries super easy with the phone). Engine service brand new alternator fitted in 2021, oil changed regularly, diesel filters, new hoses, impeller change, new anodes. The cylinder head is taken off at the moment due to a recent service, new valves, runner and head gasket. This must be fitted back on for the engine to run again. 

Also taken the winches apart, have it a good clean and grease working like a dream now. Got a bruce anchor with 30m chain, so you can peacefully anchor and sleep at night. Also installed new lifelines on the starboard side (dyneema rope, so easy to load the boat for longer journeys as well as we used as a diving gate and to drop the anchor). There is VHF on board but not working at the moment (need to install new cable on the mast) so for the meantime we have been using a handheld VHF. The engine was always starting, but sometimes it takes a few times, this is because the pinion on the starter doesn't always engage. Also some small leaks most fixed, still a bit at the entrance when it's really raining. There is a diesel heater, which unfortunately doesn't work but it can be changed easily without having to reinstall the inside system. New led Navigational light.

The boat was sanded and the fabric in autumn 2020. The electrical system has been significantly upgraded. The switch panel and fuses have been replaced and many cables have been replaced.
