Previously owned by Nick Sanders XT1200Z for world touring. First registered in 2014, but its a 2013 Model.
Imported after the previous owner had mechanical issues and sold it to me while I was a yamaha mechanic in Trondheim.
After diagnosing the issue the following work was done at 77213 Km:
- New valve stem seals
- Valves reground into cylinder head
- Leak down test after valve grinding - Ok
- New gaskets all around
- New generation 2 piston and rings
- New piston ring pins and clips
- Cylinder inspection, all within tolerances
- Cylinder honing all ok
- Valve clearance adjustment
- New coolant
- New oil and filter
- Engine run-in for 2000km and then changed oil and filters (Clean oil)
- Intake synchronisation
- New spark plugs at 77213
- Checked ignition coils - Ok
- Ignition Coils sealed with gasket silicone. Known issue is water getting into the coils.
- New drive shaft oil
- New clutch fluid
- New under tray and exhaust covers
- Repaired slightly damaged plastic housing on ABS unit (Works fine)
- Full arrow exhuast system - Carbon
Bike runs and works well, recently toured around Europe for 6000km.
The bike has typical wear and tear for a long distance touring bike of this age. Comes with panniers and internal water proof liners.
Recommend maybe some new brake lines front and rear and maybe a battery (Getting a bit old but works ok)
