Hatteland Technology seeks Product Manager Marine Products

Are you passionate about the maritime industry and have a strong desire to lead the development of future technological solutions for the sea?

As a Product Manager for Marine Products, you will play a crucial role in defining, developing, and launching our next generation of groundbreaking solutions for the maritime sector. Our main product lines include high-performance and rugged computers, robust displays, and integrated panel PCs designed for demanding marine environments.

The position reports to the VP of Product Management. The work location for this position will be at Hatteland Technology's headquarters in Aksdal.

Tasks and responsibilities

As Product Manager Marine Products you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our marine products, from the initial ideas and concept development to market launch and continuous development. You will be the voice of the customer and the product champion, working closely with the engineering department, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.

Other tasks and responsibilities will be to 

• define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our marine product portfolio, including our range of computers, monitors, and panel computers
  
• conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape for marine computing solutions
  
• translate market requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories for our computers, monitors, and panel computers
  
• ensure products comply with relevant marine industry standards, including IEC 60945 and IACS E10, as they apply to all our products
  
• work with sales and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and product positioning
  
• manage the product lifecycle of our marine IT hardware, including product enhancements, maintenance, and end-of-life planning

Your profil

Our next Product Manager for Marine Products has solid experience as a product manager, preferably within the maritime industry. Experience as a project manager is also of interest. To succeed in this role, we believe you must possess technical understanding and the ability to grasp complex concepts related to software and hardware.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and results-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills. You enjoy working cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and sales and marketing teams to create the best products for our customers. Your passion for technology, combined with your strategic thinking and market orientation, will contribute to driving our product portfolio forward.

Furthermore, we envision that you have:

• Relevant higher education (electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, or other relevant field)
  
• A good understanding of marine products and their applications, including onboard IT infrastructure
  
• Familiarity with relevant standards for the maritime industry, especially IEC 60945 and IACS E10
  
• Good language skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other European languages is an advantage
