Two vacancy for temporary teaching assistents

Manglerud skole is located at Manglerud, a twelve-minute ride by public transport form the city centre of Oslo.
Manglerud skole has 1100 students on years 1-10, of which approximately 230
students are enrolled in the International Classes. The school's vision
is to provide high quality education in a safe and inclusive learning
environment based on tolerance and respect. Manglerud skole, International
Classes is a city-wide school programme open for applicants from the
Municipality of Oslo with the language of instruction as English.

We have two vacancy for temporary teaching assistents at International Classes totalling 65%, starting in August. Working hours are from 08:50/09- 14:45 every day. Assistants may help in various classes.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Duty out on the playground, ensuringthat all students are included on the playground/outside
  
• Mediate conflicts between studentspromptly as they arise and document
  
• Manage activity leaders, assign students, and ensure activities take place
  during recess times
  
• Set up learning activities in the classroom in collaboration with teacher
  
• Work with small groups and individual students to help on learning related tasks
  
• Assist in copying, cutting, laminating, stocking stationary for learning
  activities
  
• Take initiative in supporting students' needs

Kvalifikasjoner

• Experience and familiarity working with younger children or early years
  
• Experience working with children with special needs
  
• Good communicator proficient in English and some Norwegian desired
  
• Desired international working experience- or international workplace
  
• Experience working with children whose native language is not English

• Comfortable setting limitations, clear expectations and following through, dependable and consistent
  
• Flexible in working conditions to meet the needs of students and support a larger learning team
