We are looking for a Telecom Senior Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work as a discipline lead in a study for detail engineering in an offshore greenfield / brownfield project within the telecom discipline.



The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment. The study will if approved continue into an EPC project.



Typical tasks:

• Telecom lead and responsible for Telecom deliverables in study
• Participating in development of telecom design solutions for telecom sub systems, remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies to required level in a study.
• Follow up telecom vendors.
• Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
• Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for the Telecom discipline
• Define engineering documents.

Qualifications:

• Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
• Ex course (max 5 years old)
• FSE course
• Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
• Experience from Telecom system design in Study phases or FEED or other relevant experience.
• Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as
• NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.
• Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
• A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.
• Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.
• Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
• Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.

Important with valid work permit for Norway if not located in Norway.
