🛠️ Methodical 🛠️

Specializing in, large-scale machine learning applications such as large language models (LLMs), Python Backend, Cloud Technologies, and you'll lead and collaborate with a team of ingenious backend and frontend developers. Your role? To orchestrate the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend solutions for large-scale ML applications.

Your expertise won't end there – you'll be hands-on with Python programming and have expertise in writing infrastructure code in cloud technologies such as Terraform, AWS, and Google Cloud. You are also familiar with basics of fine-tuning and deploying Transformer models in Huggingface. If you have experience in prompt tuning for leveraging LLMs, that's an added bonus. Your technical expertise, leadership abilities, and passion for delivering high-quality solutions will be crucial in driving the success of our projects.

You will collaborate closely with our co-founder and present Chief Technology Officer, Associate Professor Vinay Setty. Recognized for his achievements in machine learning and language models, Vinay has been with us full-time leading both data science and technology efforts. As we gear up for expansion, we aim to capitalize on Vinay's exceptional academic data science proficiency while seeking a new CTO with a hands-on background in scaling.

🔑 Key Responsibilities 🔑

• Work closely with founders to create tech roadmap and strategize products.

• Lead, mentor, and guide developers throughout the project lifecycle.

• Sync with the product team to execute strategic sprints per the company's objectives.

• Engineer robust, scalable backend systems using Python and related frameworks.

• Construct and uphold CI pipelines, staging, and production environments.

• Write infrastructure code to deploy and maintain resources on GCP and AWS platforms using technologies such as Terraform.

• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate and deploy large-scale ML models in the cloud platforms.

  
  

🎯 Qualifications 🎯

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

• A track record (5+ years) as a Tech Lead in software development, ML engineer, ML scientist or similar

• Has experience in bringing large-scale ML products to market.

• Proficiency in Python programming and robust backend knowledge.

• Extensive command over cloud technologies, especially Terraform and Google Cloud.

• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and scalable systems.

• Adept at troubleshooting complex technical issues and strong problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

  
  

🌈 Preferred Qualifications 🌈

• Familiarity with transformer models, prompt tuning large-language models, and HuggingFace framework.

• Experience with developing backend with REST APIs or gRPC or similar protocols.

• Hands-on experience with GCP and Terraform.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerization.

• Knowledge of databases like MongoDB and search systems such as Elasticsearch.

• Familiarity with OAuth2 or similar authentication protocols for B2B API applications.
