The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a division in Ostfold Hospital Trust with outpatient clinics in the cities Sarpsborg, Halden, Fredrikstad, Askim and Moss, in addition to county-wide outpatient clinics and inpatient services. At the unit BUPP Sarpsborg there is a vacancy for senior consultant.
BUPP Sarpsborg serves Sarpsborg and Rakkestad municipalities, and the target group is children and adolescents from 0-18 years with mental health difficulties.The unit is characterised by a pleasant working environment, with a tradition of good clinical work. Our sections has a multi-disciplinary group of clinicians, researchers and staff dedicated to providing excellent, accessible mental health care. The position of senior consultant is part of a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, special educators and family therapists. Accession by appointment.
 



Work tasks

  • Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and families within the field of mental health care for children and adolescents
  • Tasks related to specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry for resident
  • Guidance for parents, frontline services and partners
  • Multidisciplinary teamwork 
  • Cooperation across the divisions of BUP/HABU units department 
  • It is given the opportunity to contribute to the development of the field, with participation in research or improvement work
  • There is also the opportunity to participate in the department's psychiatric emergency response team located at the adolescent psychiatric division at Kalnes

Qualifications

  • Norwegian authorization as a medical practitioner doctor 
  • Approved specialist doctor in child and adolescent psychiatry 
  • Alternatively, an approved specialist in adult psychiatry with an interest in working with children and adolescents may be considered 
  • Declaration pursuant to Section 20a of the Health Personnel Act, a police certificate is required
