As a Guide, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, guiding guests through the ethereal beauty of Tromsø's wilderness. You'll drive, guide, manage groups, ensure safety, and even capture the magic through your lens. Whether assisting with surprise proposals or building snowmen, your adaptability and commitment will shape unforgettable moments for our guests.


Guiding Expertise:


  • Utilize your education or experience in guiding, tourism, communications, or performing arts to provide engaging and informative tours.
  • Obtain the necessary kjøreseddel for drosjeløyve before the contract begins. If you are not from the EU/EEA do not apply, you are not eligible.
  • Communication Skills:
  • Conduct tours comfortably in a van and occasionally a minibus, using a microphone for effective communication.
  • Proficient in English as all our activities are conducted in English.

  • Possess up-to-date first aid, primary, and secondary care certifications.
  • Demonstrate comfort working in challenging winter conditions.
  • Photography Skills:
  • Showcase photography skills with a keen eye for composition, capturing the essence of the wilderness during tours.
  • Guest Interaction:
  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, facilitating cozy moments and encouraging social interactions.
  • Foster a space for guests to get to know each other, creating fond memories aligned with their expectations.

Vi tilbyr

What We Offer:


  • A chance to be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to promoting responsible tourism.
  • Opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the growth of a leading company in the local tourism industry.
  • Compensation of NOK200 per hour, however with a minimum salary guarantee per tour, starting from NOK2400. Rates are based on seasons worked at Wandering Owl already and are published internally inalignment with our internal transparency policy.
