We are looking for a Cashier to join our team in Ria Money Transfer. The position is on-call, with a possibility of a permanent part-time or full-time contract in the future. We currently have 5 stores in the Oslo/Viken area, and 5 in other areas of Norway.


Your main task in this position will be to provide our money transfer and currency exchange services to customers. You will be part of a diverse team of different backgrounds and nationalities, and an inclusive and informal working environment. We imagine that you are a flexible person, who can work during daytime, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

What you will do:


  • Interact with customers face to face to receive and process all of Ria's products such as money transfers, money orders, selling and buying foreign currency;
  • Accurately verify or enter the customer's information on our systems;
  • Courteously assist customers with various inquiries such as questions about our services, service cancellations or other Ria locations;
  • Recognise problems, issues or complaints during queries and propose solutions or escalate to the management team;
  • Keep up to date with Ria's products, services and policies;
  • Balance your cash register and prepare cash for bank deposit;
  • Prepare your daily transactions record;
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested by your colleagues and superiors.

Qualifications

What we will look for you to have:


  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends;
  • Some computer knowledge with ability to use MS Word and Excel;
  • Cash handling experience is highly preferred;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • A valid work permit is a must.
  • Language skills: English and Norwegian required; any other languages are of advantage, such as Ukranian\Russian..

Your positive attitude and effective communication skills will be essential to work alongside your team members and create outstanding services for the customers.
