The Department of Business and Management Science has high ambitions in terms of research and offers a stimulating work environment. The main activities are organised in five broad research areas: i) Managerial Economics and Business Strategy ii) Business Taxation iii) Asset Management and Risk Analysis iv) Energy Markets, Resource Management, and Sustainability v) Shipping, Logistics and Operations Management. The department is multi-disciplinary, and the research covers both empirical and theoretical inquiries. For more information, please consult our webpage.

The candidate appointed to the position is expected to support the department’s Equinor Akademia group which works on quantifying emissions from energy products in Europe. The group collaborates with Climate Futures, a Center for Research-Based Innovation (SFI) supported by the Research Council of Norway. The candidate will aid in the construction of a repository by actively contributing to the collection, distribution, storage, analysis, and presentation of economic and environmental data. The candidate may engage in interactive collaborations with research partners, such as the Norwegian Computing Centre and NORCE Analytics.

When evaluating applicants, a strong emphasis will be placed on the candidate’s potential for high-quality research as well as international experience and teaching. The ability to work on topics of relevance for several research areas in the department will be an advantage. In the event of equivalent qualifications, female applicants will be given preference.
