Walking for Water (W4W) is a Danish non-profit NGO run entirely by volunteers. Founded in 2015, W4W aims to provide clean water access to deprived communities across Africa. Through fundraising efforts, W4W has successfully facilitated the installation of 65 public boreholes and water pumps in various African communities.

Lack of access to clean water has severe negative effects on the lives and wellbeing of these communities, including increased instances of diarrheal diseases and limited educational opportunities for children.

We are seeking a self-driven and experienced Fundraising Executiver to be responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing funds to support our mission of providing clean water access to African communities in need.

• Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to set and meet the financial goals of W4W

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and partners

• Research and apply for grants and funding opportunities

• Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns

• Utilize various fundraising techniques, including online platforms, social media, and traditional methods

• Collaborate with the SoMe team to create compelling content for fundraising campaigns

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts

• Maintain accurate records of donors, sponsors, and fundraising activities

• Provide regular reports on fundraising progress to the management team

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Non-profit Management)

• Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational and project management abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in using fundraising software and online platforms

• Knowledge of grant writing and application processes

• Passion for the mission and values of W4W
