HSE Supervisor

IKM Rada is searching for several experienced HSE Supervisors on behalf of our client Sotra Link Construction JV. If you have a HSE background from construction or from major infrastructure projects, you might be the perfect match. We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals who wants to join our competent HSE team and help to build a strong HSE culture, where workplace health and security represent key values. The position is located in Knarrevik (Litlesotra).

Job Description

• Support the HS Coordinator in the implementation of the Health and Safety Culture through the organization, Ensure that employees are familiar with safety policy, responsibilities, processes as defined in the management system and are aware of the importance and effect of their tasks within the safety work
• Support production and involved subcontractors to plan for safe and effective production and to verify that this is being done.
• Conduct daily inspections within your designated areas
• Support coordinators to conduct weekly safety inspections within your designated areas"
• Conduct Safety inductions to the new employees within their designated areas
• Reporting and manage of RUH as per contract requirement
• Emergency preparedness within your designed area (as per Emergency preparedness plan)
• Conduct accident investigations for minor accidents and support for the serious
• Attend SJA when required
• Control of workers on site (HMS card, log in…)
• Control of chemicals on site
• Control machinery tools and auxiliary means on site

Qualifications and work experience

• Technical Degree (Engineering / Civil / Environmental or equivalent)
• 3+ years in the role of Health and Safety management of complex infrastructural works from Norway
• English and Norwegian, both written and spoken, other languages of advantage 

Personal Qualifications

• Customer oriented mindset, can-do approach
• Able to communicate with workers
• Attentive to details 
• The ideal candidate must also display strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in international teams, and a flexible, results-orientated approach
