Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and talented Head Chef to lead our culinary team at Basso Bergen. The ideal candidate will possess a deep appreciation for both Italian and Nordic culinary traditions, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire our kitchen team
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development opportunities for kitchen staff
- Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Collaborate closely with management to achieve business objectives, drive revenue growth, and enhance guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- Experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing and mentoring kitchen teams to achieve culinary excellence
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity, passion, and a keen eye for detail
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
- Fluent in English
