Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and talented Head Chef to lead our culinary team at Basso Bergen. The ideal candidate will possess a deep appreciation for both Italian and Nordic culinary traditions, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and creativity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and inspire our kitchen team
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development opportunities for kitchen staff
• Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Collaborate closely with management to achieve business objectives, drive revenue growth, and enhance guest satisfaction

Requirements:

• Experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively managing and mentoring kitchen teams to achieve culinary excellence
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Creativity, passion, and a keen eye for detail
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
• Fluent in English
