fehmab AS (Backstube) is hiring a Head of accounting

fehmab AS (incl. it's subsidiaries) is running 30+ bakeries in Norway & Sweden under the name Backstube - from Tønsberg to Tromsø and from Bergen to Stockholm.

Running the company, we are a small group of people with backgrounds in business & economics, joined by a fantastic team from operations, HR and our great team making close to 15.000 customers happy every day.

Backstube is selling high quality snack& bakery products (that are freshly made in tier-1-locations) at reasonable prices. We grew from 1 shop in 2016 to over 30 in the summer of 2022. We believe that there is room for more... so we will continue to grow our footprint across the Nordics in the coming years, aiming at setting the highest sustainability standards in our industry.

We are now looking for a colleague that joins this fantastic team as Head of accounting for the entire "Backstube family".

For this position to fit to you, you need to (as a minimum):

(a) be in love with numbers (as in really being in love with numbers!)

(b) be able to work independently (as in driven & precise with minimum supervision :-))

(c) speak and write Norwegian and English fluently 

(d) have at least 5 years of work-experience in accounting or auditing as an "autorisert regnskapsfører/ auditor" and

(e) be extremely structured in your day-to-day work.

All of us are positive, curious, and "hands-on". We do not take ourselves too seriously and are all intrinsically motivated to do a great job and getting stuff done. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for our customer-facing team to do a great job. That's where value is created, and we are the support team making that possible!

Systems: All our systems, including our accounting system, are cloud-based. In Norway, we use Tripletex. In Sweden, we use Fortnox. This means you can work from anywhere (as in really anywhere!). What matters is that the work gets done correctly, timely and efficiently.

Starting point & salary: Starting point is whenever we find the right person. This could be in 2 weeks, 2 months or next year. You'll be reporting mostly to yourself and - at least once in a while - to the CEO. The salary will be competitive!

Tasks: Your exact tasks depend on how many hours/ what percentage you want to work. Anything between roughly 40% and 80% (or even 100%) works for us. The more time you have, the more tasks you can take over. 

Copy/pasted in below is an overview over what exactly would need to get done - almost all of it in Tripletex and almost all of it automated. Some things need to be done manually but we aim at reducing that to the minimum.

If the standard list above does not fill the hours, we'll have plenty more things to do:

This could be creating reports in PowerBI, automating processes along the way (and making things easier for everyone) or starting to be involved in more operational things. This could be an "even more" clever HR-ressource-planning system, reducing leftovers further or finding other things that we have not yet thought of.
