Do you want to take part in Hurtigruten's journey towards being the world leader in exploration travel? Are you ready to take lead on the construction of Hurtigruten's new hybrid ships?

We are seeking an experienced and professional project manager for our new build projects MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen - two hyper modern ships with groundbreaking technology and design to be delivered in 2018 and 2019.

You will be responsible for the overall delivery of the new ships, and be the single point of contact for the on site team. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with the on site team, consultants and other internal and external stakeholders

The VP New Build Projects reports to SVP Maritime Operations.The position is based in Oslo, but frequent travelling to construction sites and other locations required.

Tasks

Responsible for Hurtigruten's new build projects MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen
Head the project team and be the point of reporting for the on site team
Responsible for the project master plan
Secure overall progress, including deliveries from partners
Secure control of project cost
Propose corrective actions where needed
Reporting

Qualifications

MSc within technical maritime engineering or other relevant fields, in combination with strong knowledge of project management
Proven experience in delivering projects from the field of Maritime Industry and new builds of large ships
Knowledge of pax ships / cruise, preferably within explorer operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Very good written and verbal skills in English and Norwegian
