Head of HR
The position reports to the COO and will be part of his Management Team. Our new Head of HR is responsible for all HR-related services to our operations both on- and off-shore, as well as the head office of Songa Offshore. The position is located in our Stavanger office.
The responsibilities for the role span from strategic to operational, and you need to have a great work capacity. Our new Head of HR shall help Songa Offshore to achieve its goals through continuous organizational development. The ideal candidate for the position as Head of HR will present a good combination of the following:
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Minimum 5 years HR Management experience, but not necessarily from the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience with Compensation and Benefit programs and plans, including compensation surveys and structure, benefit plans and service providers, insurance providers
- Well-developed understanding of the legal framework and best practice for dealing constructively with trade unions & employee representatives
- Clear understanding of the International Safety Management (ISM) code
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong passion for performance and results
- Well-developed presentation and communication skills, to individuals and groups at all levels
- Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
EDUCATION
- Higher education, at a Bachelor or Masters level, preferably within HR and Employee Law
- Relevant domain and/or management experience can compensate for less specialisation in higher education
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the HR function ensuring clear roles and responsibilities, authority levels within the team to support the business requirements
- Develop HR strategies to support the corporate strategy and business plans for the future, and to ensure the Company is properly staffed with competent, trained and motivated personnel
- Responsible to ensure the HR department has developed, implemented and follows proper HR processes and practices, and fully compliant with Corporate policies, procedures and practises
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s HR policies and procedures to comply with the Songa Offshore QSMS Management system
- Oversee the continuous improvement of the Company’s HRIS and the compliance of all staff operating within the system
- Responsible for the Company’s Compensation and Benefit program, including salary strategy/survey/ analysis, internal compensation parity, and health/medical plans and insurances as well
- Work closely with the management group and department leaders to ensure that information is promptly shared and innovative and efficient solutions are developed
- Lead, review and evaluate HR personnel performance
- Responsible for the organizational, leadership and talent development in the Company
