What does the role involve? 

As SVP Claims & Liability Insurance your primary role is to build and maintain excellent working relationships with our clients to ensure that we are providing the best service for all of their insurance needs. This will also include fostering close working relationships with our colleagues globally. 

You will be responsible for claims handling & liability insurances, supporting clients ongoing insurance needs and renewal process. This will include strategy meetings with clients and our expert brokers, preparing market submissions, analysing renewal information and looking for opportunities to provide enhanced or additional services.  In addition, coordinating Request For Proposals (RFP’s) and engaging with the wider team to drive new business initiatives across the business. 

As a Global company there will be plenty of opportunity for cross class exposure across all Energy, Renewables & Property specialisms and the wider business lines we operate. 

What are the typical responsibilities for the position as SVP Claims & Liability Insurance? 

• Be an advocate and project manager for clients in complex insurance claims
• Leading and managing claims, liaising effectively and appropriately with the client, insurer, loss adjuster and any other interested party.
• Negotiating with insurers to achieve the most beneficial and cost-effective settlement for the client.
• Providing advice on the application of policy cover and the necessary documentation/information required to progress the claim.
• Providing advisory services to clients in respect of liability risks.
• Consulting clients with regards to contracts and contractual risk management.
• Marketing of clients’ Liability programs in the insurance market. 

What skills, qualifications, and experience would we like you to have? 

• Experience of working on Energy business from a broking, underwriting or wider insurance background.
• A degree in Economics, Finance or Law
• Alternative relevant experience within insurance or finance
• Have an in-depth knowledge of principles of contracts, possess the ability to review and comment on contracts concerning liability clauses and liability insurance
• Strong language skills in both Norwegian and English
