The Business Operations and Core Solutions division within the Business Area Private oversees numerous back-office functions for the Private sector, including underwriting and support, core system development, credit control, and tasks related to risk and quality. This could be likened to an "engine room" that ensures the smooth operation of our Private business. The unit is comprised of five Nordic functions: Medical underwriting, Core Solutions, Quality and Support, Credit Control, and IAM, collectively employing over 150 individuals dedicated to delivering high-quality services to our internal and external customers.


About the Role Head of Quality and Support Norway

In this managerial position, you will be responsible for the development and coaching of your team, which include 17 specialists and a team leader located in four different cities. Your responsibility is to ensure that the team achieve the objective of providing the best service to our internal customers while maintaining a customer-centric approach. Your role involves actively participating in and driving the development and simplification of processes with a focus on Best Practices. You will also ensure the execution of activities that uphold the quality of our operations across all portfolios within If Insurance AS. The ideal candidate is analytical, a people person, able to maintain an overarching perspective, and dive deep when necessary.


About the Team

The team you will lead is responsible for ensuring high quality, compliance to our guidelines and business procedures, handling payments, implementing profitability measures, and providing expert support to our colleagues. This ensures they have the best framework to support our customers. We constantly strive to develop our working methods and routines.

As a leader of this team, you will be part of a Nordic management team in Quality and Support that includes country managers from Finland and Sweden. Our work atmosphere is open, relaxed, and allows for humor – we take great pride in creating a positive and open environment.

Who Are You?

You have a genuine passion for leading and developing people, with at least 5 years of leadership experience in the Financial Sector. You have the ability to create a safe environment that brings high satisfaction and motivation among employees, and you enjoy helping your team members succeed in achieving their goals. You are positive, energetic, and driven, with the ability to encourage improvement and energize others, complemented by a good sense of humor that contributes to our strong culture.


You also possess the following qualities: 

  • Experience in achieving results in a complex organizational and technical setup.
  • A structured and result-oriented approach to work.
  • A business mindset with a strong orientation towards results and solutions.
  • The ability to build strong relationships to ensure effective collaboration.
  • The ability to easily build trust among various stakeholder groups.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both spoken and written.
  • Significant experience in the insurance industry or a willingness to learn more.
  • Experience working for a Nordic company or the desire to challenge yourself with this experience.

Customer orientation is, of course, embedded in everything you do.
