Vice President Engineering - Robotics

As VP Engineering, you will lead our multidisciplinary development across multiple development teams, currently more than 30 in two locations. 

A key part of the role is to lead the development of agile engineering methodology and efficient processes that allow the transition to high-volume production. In addition, you will also secure the further development of a culture where achievements are celebrated and challenges are met and solved as a team.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and empower multiple discipline engineering teams to develop, deliver, and maintain our products and services 
• Providing technical leadership and direction
• Attract, coach, develop, and retain great team leads and engineers
• Drive and influence technology choices, processes, and overall technical delivery that will enable a world-class customer experience
• Ensuring the quality, security, sustainability, and efficiency/productivity of engineering deliveries
• Apply and govern agile development processes and best practices and ensure a strong engineering culture, and continuous delivery practices for production at scale.

What you bring:

• Several years of experience leading team(s) of engineers in multiple disciplines developing and delivering for production at scale
• Strong engineering background and experience with agile methodologies
• Strong familiarity with modern cloud-based software development, and within robotics, mechatronics, or embedded software. 
• Be a strong leader, with a professional attitude and the ability to create a trust-based culture
• Practice and advocate for data-driven decision-making
• Ability to influence and drive change and innovation
• Focus on coaching and mentoring
• Strong communication skills
