Head of Financial Controlling

As Head of Financial Controlling you will have the responsibility for financial controlling across all segments and legal entities in Schibsted Media. You will be a part of the Group Financial Reporting (GFR) management team. You will be responsible for coordinating with other teams in GFR and in other parts of Schibsted Media, and contribute and represent GFR in relevant projects. The team leader is responsible for high quality and continuous improvement of the financial controlling process and is the point of contact for all inquiries regarding financial controlling.

Head of Financial Controlling will be the manager for a skilled and experienced team, and will be responsible for developing relevant competencies within the team. You will be responsible for efficient resource utilisation and resource planning, in addition to recruiting and onboarding new team members.

The Head of Financial Controlling will report to the Director Group Financial Reporting. The position will be located in either Stockholm or Oslo, and it will require some travelling.

Head of Financial controlling is responsible for:

• Manage the financial controlling function

• Oversee the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure these are presented accurately and on time.

• Process owner for statutory financial close in close cooperation with business CFO’s and Record to Report.

• Report on financial insights and performance

• Develop and maintain all necessary financial policies and procedures in the Financial Control function to ensure effective and efficient financial management

• Responsible for financial reporting to group

• Drive improvement and efficiencies within the team

• Offboarding and onboarding of legal entities

• Contribute in the external audit process

• Streamline and align processes across locations

• Information and training of resources

• Ad hoc problem solving and project management

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have:

• Team leader experience

• Master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field

• Management skills and mindset

• In-depth knowledge of the financial controlling process

• Independently driven, but collaborative and easy to work with

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in English and Swedish or Norwegian
