Head of Finance Systems

As the Head of Finance Systems, you will be responsible for developing and managing the Finance Systems department and provide strategic direction to the team. The Finance Systems department is responsible for developing and ensuring high-quality system support for finance processes and contributing in transformation initiatives.

To excel in this role, you should have experience leading a department and transformation projects. You should possess knowledge of finance system support and finance systems solutions. Curiosity and drive towards the future of finance are a must.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within Schibsted Media, driving the change and automation agenda within finance and contributing to the organization’s overall success.

Head of Finance Systems will be the manager for a skilled and experienced team, and will be responsible for developing relevant competencies within the team. You will be responsible for efficient resource utilisation and resource planning, in addition to recruiting and onboarding new team members.

The Head of Finance Systems will report to the Director Group Finance Reporting. The position will be located in Oslo.

Head of Finance Systems is responsible for:

• Developing and Managing the Finance Systems Department

• Ownership of finance systems including accountable for system requirements in the procurement process

• Accountable and responsible for all licence agreements / care provider agreements for finance systems

• Responsible for a good working relationship with Schibsted Media IT functions.

• Ensuring high quality system support for all finance processes

• Information and training of resources

• Ad hoc problem solving and project management

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have:

• Team leader experience

• Master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field

• Extensive knowledge of finance systems solutions (Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Performance Management)

• Curiosity and drive towards the future of finance

• Management skills and mindset

• Independently driven, but collaborative and easy to work with

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in English and Swedish or Norwegian
