Alliance Microfinance (AMAS) is looking for a dynamic and driven Project Manager to join our team.

As a Project Manager at AMAS you will play a key role in managing our innovative Norad-financed Ethiopia Connect project, and actively contribute to develop new financial inclusion-initiatives.


Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the Ethiopia Connect-project, building a new microfinance institution together with our partner organizations and key stakeholders in Ethiopia .
  • Effectively manage relationships with partners, local authorities, and community representatives.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, reports, and outcomes for successful completion.
  • Work with diverse teams to integrate project components smoothly.
  • Create new programs at AMAS for financial inclusion and economic opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
  • Contribute to overseeing AMAS’ institutions, including tasks like board representation, committee work, social performance activities, and reporting to the Oslo headquarters.

Qualifications and needed experience:

  • Academic degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in international development.
  • Experience in the microfinance sector and/or financial inclusion is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills. English fluency is required, proficiency in additional languages such as Spanish is a plus.
  • Previous board experience is a plus.

Location:

The position is based in our brand-new headquarters in Oslo, together with the Mission Alliance Oslo Office, with frequent travel to project sites in Ethiopia.
