Kjøkkensjef Skarsnuten - Hemsedal

Our devoted head chef is now leaving us and we are now looking for someone that can take his place and lift Skarsnuten Hotel to the next level from the 1st of June 2024. The Hotel has several outlets including:

LYNX: Norwegian/French cuisine

MIRU: Asian

We also have a conference and banquet area for up to 250 people and are a very popular destination for weddings during summertime.

As head chef, you are responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen. This means that you have responsibility for the kitchen operations , staff and finances.

Main tasks:

1. Plan, creating and develop menus.
2. Hire, train and follow up the staff
3. Responsibility for budget, purchasing, inventory and kitchen suppliers
4. Scheduling

You should have great leadership skills and the ability to motivate others. You must have good collaboration and communication skills. You must be independent and structured, and have the ability to work under time pressure.

Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
• Strong interpersonal skills and strong ability to work within a team
• Excellent organisational skills
• Natural leadership abilities
• Extensive Food knowledge
• Health & Safety knowledge.
• Scandinavian language is prefered.
