We are now looking for a person to lead our Information System (IS) Area as IS Country Manager.


We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to lead our local IS Solutions team in providing cutting-edge information systems and services to our defined geographic area. As the IS Country Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance within our IS organization while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


Your responsibilities

IS Delivery:

  • Implement ABB IS and BA IS Strategies and Architecture within the designated area of responsibility;
  • Analyze, recommend, and deliver specific systems or projects to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and operational functionality;
  • Collaborate with global and local IS teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects and services;
  • Ensure adherence to global strategy and architecture while supporting local business needs.

People Leadership:

  • Manage individuals and teams according to the IS governance framework;
  • Develop the local IS organization to meet strategic needs and promote continuous improvement;
  • Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to team members to foster an innovative work culture.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders to capture demands, resolve issues, and manage expectations;
  • Drive effective IS communications to local end-users and support change management initiatives.

Continuous Improvement and Performance Management:

  • Drive continuous improvement of local IS processes based on feedback, surveys, and business demands;
  • Partner with Local IS Division managers to align business demands with IS solutions;
  • Monitor IS performance and set performance targets to ensure optimum performance.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance:

  • Lead local IS council and ensure joint governance with representatives from local divisions and IS teams;
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including ITGC, data privacy, and trade compliance;
  • Contribute to effective risk management and mitigation strategies.


Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in information systems management, preferably in a multinational corporation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, including data privacy and trade regulations.
