Global Supply Chain Director

The position as Global Supply Chain (SC) Director Sea Based in AKVA group will have the overall responsibility for the supply chain management at Business Area Sea Based.

We are looking for a candidate with commercial awareness, a strategic mindset, and sound knowledge of the whole supply chain. You can work on both a strategic and operational level, have excellent collaboration skills, motivated by creating results together with your colleagues, and are able to build strong relations across the organization.

There is a management team of 4 direct reports to the position. The position reports to COO Sea Based Nordic.

Main tasks:

• Overall responsibility for the supply chain strategy in Sea Based Business Area, including purchasing, logistics, warehousing and production  
• Manage and run processes/discussions to understand supplier’s capacity, possibilities to grow with AKVA group and secure our capacity and priority in their deliveries
• Identify where we need new suppliers, implement supplier development, qualification of products from new suppliers
• Identify and implement improvements throughout the supply chain
• Establish and report on KPI’s for SC
• Negotiation of commercial terms and conditions with subcontractors and key suppliers
• Focus on bottom-line results, realize synergies, and identify potential risks and establish quality assurance processes in the supply chain
• Be a key contributor in implementing new ERP solution

Education and experience:

• Higher relevant education, preferably on a master’s degree level
• Extensive experience from supply chain management
• Experience from implementation of ERP solutions and developing supply chain organizations
• Sound negotiation experience
• Proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken
