Working in Commercial, Portfolio and Regulatory unit in Hydrogen:
The Commercial, Portfolio and Regulatory unit in the hydrogen organization is a growing team of ~10 employees. We will ensure that Statkraft is able to assess and select the right hydrogen projects, find the right partners and acquisition opportunities to achieve our hydrogen ambitions, deliver optimal solutions for our hydrogen customers, and have the knowledge of the hydrogen market and regulation to make the right decisions and influence our environment. The team will in many cases work as an integrated part of the hydrogen project development teams.
We will work closely together with all parts of Statkraft involved in hydrogen development. Our primary geographic focus will be where we have dedicated hydrogen business development teams (Nordics, UK, Germany, Netherlands), but we will also provide support and sparring for new markets for Statkraft hydrogen activities such as the international markets India, Brazil and Chile.
Job Description
- Manage and coordinate all major EU public funding process for Statkraft’s hydrogen projects, such as EU Hydrogen Bank and EU Innovation Fund
- Manage and coordinate Norwegian public funding processes for Statkraft’s hydrogen projects, such as Enova and Innovation Norway applications
- Coordinate and in some projects take lead in writing and compiling public funding applications
- Maintain an overview of all relevant public funding schemes in EU and in Statkraft’s core hydrogen markets (NO, SE, DE, NL, UK), in cooperation with Statkraft’s local regulatory departments incl. Statkraft’s Brussels office
- Actively support our hydrogen projects with advice on what public funding opportunities to prioritise and pursue
- Assist in putting regulatory arrangements in place connected to EU and national funding programmes, incl. consultations and other written submissions.
- The focus will be pre-dominantly within Hydrogen but will also cover other areas for grant/support within Statkraft’s New Energy Solution business area (CCUS, District heating, biofuels, etc.)
Qualifications
We look for experienced Senior Public Funding Manager with the essential skills to deliver on the role’s responsibilities and help build our new hydrogen business in Statkraft.
That includes:
- Master’s degree in economics, politics, law or equivalent
- Relevant experience, preferably from the energy sector, including government agencies
- Deep understanding of the Nordic/European power markets, its regulations and funding mechanisms. A good understand of global energy markets and their dynamics are also beneficial.
- Ability to efficiently and powerfully communicate in written and oral form
- Strong team-player with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create relations internally and externally
- Ability to take large amount of information and condense it into clear, actionable insights
- Ability to see the big picture, but also deep dive into specifics when needed
- Structured and self-driven, ability to run projects is beneficial
- Strong command of Norwegian and English, both verbally and written
