The position Head of New Energy is a rare opportunity to help shape Wallenius Wilhelmsen, a significant player in global trade, in the next transformative years. As the shipping industry are facing the area of sustainability, the race for an emissions-free operation is the one single challenge on everybody’s mind. As our Head of New Energy you will be part of the generation who finds the solution to zero emissions trade.

We are looking for a leader to take the strategic approach and develop a medium- and long-term strategy for sustainable energy with the aim to achieve Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s strategic decarbonization goals. You will search for sourcing opportunities, cooperate internally and externally with stakeholders in the New Energy Sector and lead projects on implementing our decarbonization strategy. As the Head of New Energy you will be a driving force in the corporate decarbonization task force.

We think the right candidate has minimum 10 years of industry experience, with commercial exposure to energy markets and has a well-established network within the new energy sector. You have an interest in and good understanding of fuel- and emission regulations for shipping, and a proven experience in project- and stakeholder management. You have a master’s degree in business, engineering, law or science and are fluent in English, both written and spoken. The position reports to SVP Marine Operations and are located at the headquarter in Oslo.
