VP Well Operations / Well Operations Manager

We are reorganising Vår Energi and are looking for people who want to join, to lead the way forward! There are available management positions within Project Development & Supply Chain Management (PDS), Drilling, Technology & Innovation (TDS), Exploration & Production (E&P) and Safety & Sustainability (S&S). Our headquarter is in Stavanger, but location at our office in Hammerfest and Oslo can be possible for some positions.

We are looking for a new leader to join the Drilling & Wells Leadership Team who can be a driving force impacting the company by working on the way people, technology, work processes and organization work together as a system.

Vår Energi has over 50 years of experience, and 950 employees. As a leader for Well Operation, you will work with executing detailed operational planning and construction of new wells, workovers, interventions, and P&A activity. As well as being responsible for personnel leadership, people development, and talent management.

• Lead the Well Operation Discipline and responsible for Well delivery and assignments of resources
• Create a best in class Working Environment, where all are contributing and needed, and where each person feels valued and is thriving at their best
• Well Operation Technical Authority and Well Operation Expertise Holder and ensure Safe, Effective and Efficient Well Operation Delivery
• Responsible for Management of Well Operation - averaging 3 rig lines - and its supportive Business Management Systems
• Provide support and assurance to the Well Engineering Design Division with aim to maintain value and de-risk execution do-ability

• BSc / MSc in Engineering
• Indicative industry experience minimum 10-15 years, surface and subsea. Proven track record of successful delivery in similar Wells role with equivalent technical and leadership dimensions
• Excellent strategic decision-making skills. Have the ability to translate short- and long-term goals into plans of action
• Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
