Executive Head Chef for Dalen Hotel and Restaurant Bandak.
Restaurant Bandak is our gourmet restaurant with high ambitions where we serve classic French cuisine with seasonal and local products from Telemark and Norway.
Dinner is been served in the grand dining room, as it has been since opening in 1894. Our hotel breakfast is served both with a small buffet and an à la carte part in the grand dining room. And our well-known afternoon tea and lunch is served in the lounges and on the terrace overlooking lake Bandak.
Dalen Hotel is a seasonal hotel open during the summer season from the end of April until the middle of October. During the summer season we work in Dalen and during the winter season when the hotel is closed, we make time for Holiday, and plan and prepare for the coming season from home.
Responsibilities
- Daily operations in service
- Making orders and overseeing inventory
- Yearly appraisals
- Stock count
- Training new employees
- Manage shift list
- Inspire, lead, and manage the kitchen team
Who are you
- Proven experience in kitchen with good problem-solving capabilities
- High competence in French cuisine and classic fine dining
- Passion for exceptional service and the hospitality industry
- Good leadership skills and an hands-on approach
- Good communication skills
- Experience with IT systems
- Has extensive knowledge about IK mat / HACCP
- Structured and responsibile
