We are now looking for a Head of Company Communications to join Oda and champion internal and external communications at a group level. You will be a key member of the People team, work closely with our CEO and management group and will ensure our communication as a company reflects our brand and our behaviours. By contributing with your passion for and experience with media, communications and human interactions, you will be an ambassador of our tone of voice to protect and strengthen our brand reputation. Doing so, you will have the chance to collaborate with a highly motivated cross functional team.


What you’ll do as Head of Company Communication in Oda

Internal communication

  • You will design and implement a strategy to enhance our internal communications and collaboration channels to ensure we inform, engage and aspire our people. You’ll ensure we are inclusive and effective, that we enable leaders to communicate consistently through the development of a unifying, global framework for communication .
  • It’s your job to create, draft and write engaging, inclusive internal content and communications material for employees in line with the Oda culture, tone of voice and brand guidelines. This includes partnering with our CEO and his C-suite on communications.
  • You will play a key role with the People team in developing the Oda employer brand and associated communications platforms and content.


External communication

  • A big part of your role is to manage the public image and reputation of the Oda’s company brand, while our growth/marketing teams manage PR for the consumer related activities. You are developing PR strategies, drafting messages and press statements for internal and external audiences, supporting and sparring with the management group and other deliverables as needed. Therefore, responding to intermittent and unexpected crisis and issues that may result in additional work outside of our standard working hours.
  • Additionally, you partner up with our local Norway Growth team to manage media relations in Norway, with primary focus on media which touches on company reputation topics. This includes coordinating with or taking on the role as Oda’s spokesperson, answering media requests, executing on proactive and reactive media relations, maintaining relations with key journalists and keeping abreast of important media stories on a regular basis.
  • You will also support our CEO to establish and handle regular contact with politicians and regulators regarding Oda’s employment and policy concerns through organizing and attending meetings and seminars with these stakeholders, developing communication material and reporting back to relevant colleagues.


Other fun parts of the job

  • It’s your task to collect and analyze relevant data points and insights, to ensure excellent and accurate decision-making on internal and external communications.
  • This role comes with another meaningful purpose by being part of the sustainability taskforce and promote Oda’s sustainability mission through appropriate communicative measures for internal and external audiences within the setting of the sustainability task.
  • You also get to be an active member of the People platform leadership team, ensuring consistency in our tone of voice and messaging. In addition, you are attending leadership meetings of the Finance platform on a monthly basis to ensure alignment and consistency in approaches.

  • Have a good instinct for success stories that Oda should stand for and potential crisis topics that require special attention.
  • Show basic political knowledge of the markets we operate in.
  • Shine with outstanding organizational and planning abilities as well as time management skills.
  • Have the ability to understand and use communication and collaboration technology and tools.
  • Are ambitious, curious and show initiative in a humble way.
  • Enjoy being hands-on while not losing track of the big picture.


The following will be helpful

  • Background in communications, public relations, journalism or relevant field
  • Extensive experience in company communications and crisis management
  • Experience in content production is preferred
  • Proven track record of project management
