Chief Technology Officer - CTO

As part of Hydrovolt, you will join an exciting industrial start-up with strong owners and high ambitions. The European battery industry is on the rise and Norway is one of the key markets with its world leading share of electric vehicles. In 2022 Hydrovolt open the first recycling facility in Europe which will raise the bar and change the battery recycling industry forever. As Chief Technology Officer you will be driving our technical development. You will be responsible for Hydrovolt's research and development (R&D). The CTO role is a key member of the management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

You are business driven and responsive to the market developments and be able to adapt the technology development into operational excellens together with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Chief Quality Officer (CQO).

The goal of the CTO position is to maintain a forward leaning position of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth with technology solutions.

You will have an important role in the development of the company and be given the opportunity to join a start-up team in one of the most exciting and fast growing industries today.

The role is a part of our management team in Oslo, Norway.

· Design and implement technology strategies, plans and procedures.

· Strategy, R&D and technical activities together with the operation team.

• Proven experience as Chief Technical Officer or relevant role.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
• Technical and R&D performance experience.
• Mechanical/Chemical Engineer background.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
• MSc/MBA or relevant field; PhD is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
