About the position
Reporting to the Executive Vice President Flow Control Systems, the Finance Director will be a key driver of the business strategy for our Flow Control Systems (FCS ) Business Unit. You will be a key member of the Finance Leadership team as well as in the FCS Leadership team. You will be responsible for the coordination and overall management of the Business Unit's financial profitability, planning / forecasting, and establishing a standardized and sustainable FCS Finance operation. You will own and drive FCS projects to establish economic substance in KA. You lead, inspire and develop the competences and capabilities of the regional Controllers and the global Finance and Controlling team in FCS. You will effectively manage the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial submissions to the CFO and core finance group to accurately and faithfully reflect FCS financial performance during the period.

You have strong business acumen with proven ability to understand and align business needs with Finance solutions to move the business forward in a growing and rapidly changing environment. You must have proven leadership skills, experience in building teams, organizational design and restructuring. You are able to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of drive and urgency, balancing multiple priorities simultaneously. In addition, you have excellent reasoning, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, effective project management skills and communication skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation) among diverse audiences. You demonstrate interpersonal awareness to effectively build and sustain strong client partnerships with trust and credibility to influence management at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Be the Finance sparring partner and Financial advisor to the Executive Vice President FCS
Contribute to the management strategy in FCS and the development of the Business Unit's strategic goals
Recruit, train and manage the relevant financial professionals and promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
Mentor and develop team members using a supportive and collaborative approach and ensure they receive timely and appropriate training and development
Create the global framework of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews necessary to provide the business leaders with timely, accurate and up-to-date information to manage the global business effectively
Plan, review, execute and consolidate the FCS annual budgets and long-range plan
Coordinate, review, and consolidate monthly actual variance analysis and monthly forecasts
Coordinate, review, and facilitate approval of expenditure requests (e.g. CAPEX etc.)
Provide documentation on critical accounting items (e.g. onerous contracts, restructuring projects etc.)

Qualifications and experience

University degree preferably within Business Administration
10 years’ experience leading Finance Management
Experience from leading and interacting in global complex organization
Automotive industry and manufacturing experience
Exceptional networking and relationship building skills
Good strategic planning and organizational skills including developing business strategies and how to grow new business
Cost accounting and plant work experience including product and technical understanding of Automotive systems
Accounting & controlling / corporate background; IFRS know-how
In-depth knowledge of financial modelling, reporting, business planning
Strong analytical, excellent judgment and problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial thinking
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a self-motivated and driven personality
