Group HSEQ Manager - Fire safety
Jotun has a high focus on safety in our global operations, covering 40 factories and more than 10.000 employees. Our global HSEQ team is working in close cooperation with the factories and the global Operations, Maintenance and Investment teams.
We will now further strengthen the Fire safety focus by recruiting a Fire Protection specialist. The focus on Fire protection systems includes Fire detection and alarm systems, Firefighting systems, and Passive fire protections systems.
In this position you will be responsible for improving procedures, build competence and inspect fire protection systems in Jotun factories worldwide, in close cooperation with the global HSEQ team.
Job Description:
The Group HSEQ Manager - Fire Protection will contribute to developing standards and procedures related to Fire Protection systems, support and provide training to local factories and control implementation and functionality by performing HSEQ audits in all factories globally.
* Contribute to the development of global standards for the assigned area, to ensure that the standards are internally consistent, effective, and globally fit-for-purpose.
* Ensure implementation and maintain established methods, solutions, concepts, and tools to ensure that they stay relevant and fit-for-purpose.
* Enable local and regional professionals by training, knowledge- and information sharing to ensure relevant and efficient implementation and utilization of methods and tools.
* Participate in qualification of 3rd party fire protection contractors.
* Conduct on-site support and do inspection and validation of fire protection system at Jotun factories worldwide.
Qualifications: Expertise in fire protection systems, including Fire detection and alarm systems, Fire fighting systems and Passive Fire fighting systems. Experience with international standards.
* Technical education, Master degree or similar
* NFPA or similar certification
* Systematic and detail oriented, preferably with experience from chemical industry
* Good communication skills, with English as our business language
* Expected travelling: 75- 100 days per year
