Are you an experienced HR professional looking to start an exciting new role? Are you looking to work within a global organisation? If so, then this role could be for you!

As an HRBP, life is busy. This role plays a lead role in creating and delivering the people management agenda and will act as the key HR contact across Norway. It is vital that you are enthusiastic about people and change management and have strong stakeholder communication skills.

You will be involved in a broad range of activities across the HR space including but by no means limited to employee relations, talent management and development, coaching and training, and driving employee engagement and an inclusive culture.

This role will also give you the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects across Avis Budget Group, and will give you exposure to international HR.

This role will involve some travel across our stores in Norway (20%).

Key Responsibilities – HR Business Partner

  • Work in collaboration with the International HR team to drive the people agenda in Norway
  • Act as the first point of contact within HR, and partner with operational leadership
  • Connect with managers and employees to identify how we can make our people processes simple, easy and effective
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of effective people management throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Work cross functionally between various departments to help measure, analyse and enhance the performance of our people.
  • Communicate directly with those in customer facing roles to assess engagement and drive improvements through the business based upon these interactions.
  • Coordinate communication related to people initiatives, products and processes. Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals up, down and across the organization and ensure that information is shared accurately and as appropriate.
  • Consult, train, mentor and coach local managers and associates in areas that include Employee Relations, Recruitment, Leadership, Communications, Engagement, Performance Management, Rewards Management, Succession Planning.
  • Responsible for ensuring regular updates and training on all HR matters: Employment Law, process improvements, Changes in T+Cs, Benefits, Organisation.

Skills and experience

  • Experience operating in a HR role with demonstrable experience acting as a true business partner acting as champion for company values.
  • Proven experience managing day to day employee relations within a large business preferably within retail/high volume environment
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Prior experience working closely with managers, coaching and guiding on best practice
  • Able to work autonomously, and manage own workload
  • Happy to undertake a regional/roaming role
  • A sense of urgency and strong work ethic to get tasks completed on-time.
