You will be employed in the Aker Horizons Asset Development team where we together will develop, build, and operate green industrial hubs across the world. As the Asset Manager, you will be overall responsible for your assets and you will be reporting directly to the CEO of Aker Horizons Asset Development.

Purpose of position

To secure new business and fulfill our ambition, we are looking to hire experienced, pro-active, and adaptable professionals who can develop designated assets from DG0, through final investment decisions, to commercial operation and into operations, maximising the value of the asset.

We would like you to;

• Be overall responsible for maturing and managing the asset from DG0, through Final Investment Decision (FID) to commercial operation (COD) and into operations, including all internal and external stakeholders and contributors. Assets in our context are net zero industrial developments in the multi billion NOK range, driving positive local and global planet positive.
• Manage and lead the asset development process of planet positive projects together with a highly experienced team.
• Develop the detailed business case for the asset, and present the individual investment cases for approval within the company, the board and with our co-development partners
• Secure and nurture competitive asset partnerships and drive the development of the operating model and any associated agreements
• Prepare funding applications, identify sponsorship initiatives, and oversee/manage permitting with local and federal stakeholders
• Support negotiating of feedstock and offtake agreements
• Facilitate necessary land acquisition, permitting, environmental review, and other aspects of hydrogen project development
• Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process including attending community engagement events

You may be a relevant candidate if you have experience from asset/project development activities within renewable energy, industrial gas or petrochemical sectors - in Norway and/or internationally. Preferably, you also have hydrogen domain expertise and/or a background within the petrochemical, steel/green steel/DRI, or power generation industries. Strong Oil & Gas and backgrounds will also be considered. 

You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and you demonstrate sustainable leadership whilst also being capable of navigating complexity. You should feel motivated and passionate by delivering our ambitions to develop, build and operate mega scale assets to accelerate industrial decarbonisation - in support of Aker Horizons Asset Development’s objective to be the most efficient hydrogen value chain integrator for industrial scale clean hydrogen.
