Sector Alarm is growing and looking for an experienced Head of Product that will lead the development of our Security Video Cameras!  

 Sector Alarm is an international company delivering safety and security solutions to our 600,000 household and small sized enterprise customers across 8 countries. Over the past years we have achieved great success, and to fuel the future growth we need to further develop our products and services. 

Great products are a key factor in order to deliver customer value, and to enhance our product offering. Security Video Cameras are an essential part of our product portfolio, and we are hiring a Head of Product to further improve our product team consisting of talented product managers, designers and developers. This role will be a crucial link between business and technical development; enabling Sector Alarm to deliver continued value to our customers.

As Head of Product, you maintain a high bar for product development and you never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle challenges hands-on.

 You will: 

• Take ownership of the Security Video Camera product portfolio – indoor outdoor.
• Be responsible for the full product lifecycle: product discovery, vision and strategy creation, product specification creation, supplier and partner selection and management, product delivery, Go-To-Market and maintenance.  

• Keep a 360 view of your market and available solutions.
• Let the end-user take center stage, focusing on the customer needs, even hidden ones.
• Take ownership of the outcome based roadmap for your product, which is tightly coupled with our organizations business objectives.
• Build your product as a business to serve the needs of the user while continuously validating the decisions and improving your product.
• Build, maintain and manage relationships to suppliers and partners throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with key functions: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Alarm Centers and support functions in the company in every phase of the product lifecycle in order to guarantee smooth Go-To-Market of the product.

You have: 

• 10+ years of experience of managing and building innovative Tech Products in B2B or consumer facing segments. 
• Degree in Electronics or Computer science, or equivalent. 
• Strong business acumen. MBA not needed but equivalent knowledge desirable.
• Product management experience from both HW and SW products.
• Hands-on experience with specifying and developing electronic devices.
• Experience with video image processing and machine learning as a core value source of your product.
• Practical understanding of Industrial Design, UX and usability.
• Technical understanding of the full tech-stack of cloud connected devices including Mechanics, Electronics, Embedded FW, Cloud platforms and SW, Consumer Applications on Android, iOS and Web.
• Solid knowledge of the available chipset suppliers and platforms for video camera products, functionalities they support as well as advantages and disadvantages they possess.
• Experience on working with agile and lean practices in tech teams. 
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Ability to travel as required.

Note:  

• Our headquarter is based in Oslo, but the role can be located at any of our offices across seven countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy or Portugal.
• Travel time up to 10% is to be expected in this role.
