Business Area Director Innovation, Technology Projects

We are strengthening our Innovation, Technology and Projects team and are looking for a leader with background and proven experience from project management, and people leadership. This person will lead our key area within Innovation, Technology and Projects. The position will report to the CEO.

Your responsibility will be to, among others:

• Lead and coach a larger team of project professionals and technical experts
• Have a leading role in developing and professionalize project management in our company
• Be a driving force and sparring partner for our project managers in commercial projects in close collaboration with important key people at the customer, and in Norner
• Be a driving force and discussion partner about greater business opportunities for the company
• Experience from leading research projects with support from the Research Council or the EU, or other experience of leading teams across industry, academia and research institutes.
• Knowledge of the funding policy instruments in Norway and the EU

Your qualifications will preferably be:

• Higher education at master's level in relevant technical subjects, preferably in chemistry, materials technology
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience
• Solid, proven experience with project management, and people leadership
• Good value chain and business understanding

• Strong team player and leader with the ability to collaborate with different types of people, create relationships across departments in the company, and with customers, and is motivated by collaboration
• Experienced in innovation projects with ability to inspire and create enthusiasm
• Clear and engaging leadership style
• Strategical thinking, combined with strong analytical, structured and results-oriented
• Documented history of creating progress and ensure “speed to market” on projects
• Good oral and written communication- and presentation skills in Norwegian and English
