Business Area Director Energy

We are strengthening our business team and are looking for a business talent with background and experience from the oil and gas, and/or renewable energy sector. This person will lead one of our emerging business areas. The position will report to the CEO.

Your responsibility will be to, among others:

• Be the company's visible business expert inside and outside the company
• Have a leading role in the preparation of the company's and business area's strategic plans
• Together with new and existing customers, identify and establish new projects and focus areas for Norner within the Energy segment. These can be projects such as battery technology, renewable energy, oil and gas, energy flexibility, etc.
• Prepare market and industry analysis for use in strategy processes and as a basis for decision-making in projects
• Be a driving force, project manager and sparring partner in major commercial customer and category cases in close collaboration with important key people at the customer, and in Norner
• Contribute to identifying global trends and innovations and transfer this to the company's strategy, and develop business concepts according to these
• Be a "spin doctor", develop major business cases and influence important decisions that are relevant to the business area

Your qualifications will preferably be:

• Higher education at master's level in relevant technical subjects or finance
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience
• Solid experience with business development from relevant industry (oil and gas, renewable energy, and/or materials technology), and/or consulting work
• Very good value chain and business understanding, especially in the energy sector

• Commercial flair and high operational decision-making ability, ability to act and ability to implement
• Documented history of creating progress and ensure “speed to market” on projects
• Strategically combined with strong analytical and results-driven
• Motivated by solving complex issues and challenges cross in the business value chain
• Good oral and written communication- and presentation skills in Norwegian and English
