Q-Free has 350 employees located at 15 offices in countries around the world. We operate in a growing marked with rapidly evolving technology. At our headquarters in Trondheim we now have an opportunity for you to join us as Program Management Officer (PMO) in our Tolling Systems group.

As a member of the Tolling Systems group, you will be part of the team delivering the future's efficient solutions for Low Emission Zone enforcement and electronic Road User Charging. As PMO you will be responsible for streamlining our project delivery process in close collaboration with our experienced project managers across all our sites.  

In Tolling Systems projects we deliver end-to-end solutions built on a mixed set of technologies with both Q-Free and third-party products. High performance and high availability are key elements in Q-Free’s solutions and we take control of the complete system delivery to ensure full operation and support of the complete system from roadside solutions to back-office functionality. The projects involve a wide range of disciplines, from software development and hardware design, logistics and sub-contractor management, installation and system tuning, and contract and customer management.

Our delivery projects are all over the world, you will have the opportunity to work closely with highly skilled colleagues located both locally and internationally in many of Q-Free’s worldwide locations. 

Some of the key responsibilities for the PMO are

  • Provide strategic guidance to the company’s project managers to support high quality standards in project planning and execution
  • Drive the further development of project management process and -methodology throughout the organization
  • Facilitate communication among the project’s cross-functional teams
  • Optimize business opportunities in projects, from sales and delivery to operation
  • Align project initiatives to corporate strategies
  • Monitor and enforce risk management
  • Resource management across projects

Your key qualifications and experience

  • Higher technical education on Bachelor or Master level
  • Experience from project management of large and complex delivery projects, including multiple external suppliers and internal development projects
  • Experience from implementing and using standard methodologies as Prince2, PMI, Agile, etc.
  • We prefer it if you have five years or more of relevant work experience, but we encourage all candidates with relevant background to apply.

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to create results through motivating and coaching others
  • Genuine interest and good understanding of technology and project management
  • Solution-oriented mindset and good collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and with high work capacity
  • Good oral and written skills in both English and a Scandinavian language. Other language skills can also be a plus.

    Work location is Trondheim, Norway, but you must be prepared to do some traveling abroad in periods.
