Adventurous and confident leader needed for one of Norway’s roughest via ferrata

Then you might be the general manager we are looking for to develop Bratten Via Ferrata in Bodø.

With a general manager at the helm, we will work together to develop a raw climbing destination that gives both local and visiting guests adventurous experiences with safety in front.

The steep Bratten Via Ferrata in Bodø is Norway's first Via Ferrata where you climb directly over the sea, which gives a new dimension to the nature experience.

Bratten is 10 - 15 minutes from Bodø city center by bike (or 5 minutes by car), north of the city, direction Kjerringøy.

The facility will be completed during spring 2022, and will be a year-round, nature-based experience arena. In the summer you can experience climb in the midnight sun and in the winter, you will be able to see the northern lights playing over the famous landmark Landegode, with a view of the Lofoten Islands.

Two climbing routes with different levels of difficulty, have already been established. In addition, there are paths and stairs that provide easy access to the viewpoint at the top.

Bratten Via Ferrata AS was established in 2021, by the initiators Torbjørn Øiesvold, Christian Jakhelln AS and Kulta Invest AS. The company is solidly financed and aims to establish, own, operate and rent out facilities for experience tourism, as well as what is naturally connected with this.

Role and organization

As general manager, you will be the company's first employee. Your role will be to drive the process forward, develop the organization and business, and develop routines and systems. You correspond directly to the board.

Bratten Via Ferrata er Norges første Via Ferrata hvor du klatrer rett over havet, noe som gir en ny dimensjon til naturopplevelsen. Bratten ligger 10 – 15 minutter fra Bodø sentrum på sykkel, nordover i retning Kjerringøy. 

Anlegget blir ferdig våren 2022, og skal være en helårlig, naturbasert opplevelsesarena. På sommeren kan man oppleve midnattssolen i fjellveggen og om vinteren vil du kunne se nordlyset som spiller over det kjente landemerket Landegode, med utsikt til Lofotveggen i det fjerne.

Det er etablert to klatreruter med ulike vanskelighetsgrader. I tillegg er det lagt stier og trapper som gir lett adkomst til utsiktspunktet på toppen.

Bratten Via Ferrata AS ble etablert i 2021, av initiativtager Torbjørn Øiesvold, Christian Jakhelln AS og Kulta Invest AS. Selskapet er solid finansiert og har som formål å etablere, eie, drifte og leie ut anlegg for opplevelsesturisme, samt det som står i naturlig forbindelse med dette.
