We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician (Biotech)
Nordic Nanovector is looking for an experienced technician to strengthen the company’s dedicated and highly experienced R&D department. The technician will carry out both in vivo and in vitro studies based on the company’s strategic needs and will take part in the daily operations of our laboratory. The work will play an important role in our research and development activities.
The ideal candidate should display excellent organizational and documentation skills, ability to multitask, strong communication skills, and be a self-starter who takes initiative. You work well within a fast-paced, dynamic, results- and team-oriented start-up environment and are motivated by the mission of our company to bring safe and effective new therapies to patients.
Your key responsibilities:
Technical tasks:
- Labeling of antibodies with radioisotopes or fluorochromes
- Cell culture
- Flow cytometry, microscopy and fluorescence reporter assays
- Quality control of radiolabeled antibodies
- Measurement and data analysis of blood samples
- Preparation of solutions and media
- In vivo experiments
- Follow SOPs for assigned tasks
Daily operations of our laboratory:
- To assist the laboratory manager in daily operations of the laboratory
- Responsible for ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory of laboratory materials and samples
- Coordinate service and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Assist radiation protection officer
- Maintenance of 5S system
What you’ll need:
Education, Certifications and Experiences:
- 2-5 years proven biotechnology/pharmaceutical lab experience
- Experience in cell culture
- Approved FELASA course and experience with in vivo studies
- Experience with working with open radioactive sources
- 5S and GXP experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- An interest in the biotech industry and our mission
- Outstanding attention to detail and quality
- Keep accurate records, work safely, and complete work on schedule
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- IT proficiency and excellent communication skills, with high proficiency in English, written and spoken
- High ethical standards and integrity
- High work capacity, self-driven and proactive
- Flexibility to working hours
- The company will provide required training and certification to be able to take on the role
Reporting line and location:
The position reports to the Laboratory Manager and is based at the company's headquarters in Oslo, Norway. This role is lab-based and cannot be done remotely.
Please note, we are not able to offer relocation support or support with work permits for this position.
