Om arbeidsgiveren

Hurtigruten Norway

Hurtigruten Norway’s Coastal Express (part of Hurtigruten Group AS) is born and raised to connect coastal communities and people, and at the same time give our guests an authentic and up-close experience of Norwegian coastal culture. Hurtigruten is the original coastal voyage and one of the world’s most iconic journeys for adventurous travelers.

Building on heritage since the first departure in 1893, almost 130 years ago, the Coastal Express is a unique combination of local travelers, tourists and transport of goods on the same ships. Hurtigruten unites the international traveler with everyday life along the beautiful and rugged Norwegian coast. We connect 34 large and small communities, sailing 24 hours a day and in all seasons.

Hurtigruten Norway’s ships take you closer to nature and the local communities – on what is referred to as “the most beautiful voyage in the world”. The journey starts in Bergen on the West Coast, Norway’s second largest city. Along the way to the northern town of Kirkenes, close to the Russian border, we sail through varied and spectacular coastal landscapes. We offer a wide range of memorable, and even life-changing, authentic experiences – supported by local suppliers of food and excursions.

We cross the Arctic circle, and enable our guests to experience the midnight sun in the summer months and the northern lights in the darker months. In every port, local passengers embark and disembark. Goods are loaded and unloaded from the ship’s cargo port. This is sustainability in action. We take part in creating values along the coast, bringing critical supplies, and maintaining prosperity in the local communities that we visit.

Across all companies in Hurtigruten Group, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We aim to lead the travel and cruise industry into the next century and beyond – leading by example.
