To our European Category team we are looking for a candidate that enjoys and thrives on initiating and steering strategic direction, and to be instrumental in helping Circle K Europe reach sustainability and business goals, having world class services and products. Our European Category team focus on most kinds of fuel, and we work closely together with product innovation and market teams to develop even better products. We also ensure to constantly improve the customer journey and make it easy and intuitive.

The European Category fuel team is represented in 9 countries with 10 Business Units. We work closely with fuel directors in all European BU’s to ensure seamless cooperation, good market insight and optimal product and price strategies. In our team you will be vital in developing and implementing strategies for product, price, positioning, branding, customer journey, and a vital part in several strategic project that will have a global reach.
You work with our premium fuel strategy for the future, review and update our product portfolio strategy as well as take the important role of driving prioritized projects and present to Circle K executive management. Having a close dialogue with all European business units is key.
Circle K are looking for a motivating and inspiring Senior Category Manager, one that deliver strategic quality in line with our ambitious requirements and is excellent at the storytelling to our executive team as well as BU leaders. Circle K is good at collecting relevant data and market insight, hence being able to utilizing the vast amount of data to generate insight will be an advantage. 

Main objectives will be: 

  • Review Premium fuel market strategy across Europe, with focus on business goals and sustainability
  • Develop forecourt theatre with focus on easy customer journey and commercial optimization
  • Product portfolio optimization across European markets
  • Develop product hierarchy / brand CVP / transition approach and test Circle K fuels in Europe
  • Key contact point for European marketing team

The optimal candidate should:

  • Have good category management (or similar) experience, business understanding with a strong commercial mindset
  • Have commercial and strategic mindset, and the ability to influence the strategic agenda.
  • Have excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Strong people and communication skills to be able to drive change and getting things done.
  • Enjoy working with people in an international setting, collaborates well in a global team environment, maintaining close global relationships
  • Communicate well, be fluent in English, both orally and in writing, and be comfortable and able to use it as the main working language
  • 7+ years experience within demanding commercial positions, consultancy or Marketing. 
  • Analyze data/insights and identify commercial opportunities. 
  • Higher relevant education (i.e.Bachelor in B.A., Marketing or Industrial engineering)
