You will be part of the global People Strategy team, who is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and developing the human capital in our organization. Our team strive to deliver best in class service and advice globally within the following areas among others; recruitment, employer branding, people- and leadership development, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion and academic outreach. We provide our services to offices in Oslo, London, New York, Singapore, and Shanghai.
 
The position is based in Oslo, and travel will be required. You will report to the Global Head of People Strategies.

What you will do:

Head of People Development is a highly visible internal role, and you must love to interact with people at all levels. You will manage a team of seven highly skilled individuals, based in Oslo and London. You will make sure their focus is right and according to strategy, and that all projects and tasks are delivered with high quality, in a timely and cost-effective manner. 

Main tasks include

  • Manage, support, and develop a team able and willing to deliver HR services adding value to the organizational performance. Ensure that the responsibilities and authority of each employee are clearly defined through job descriptions and individual plans
  • Identifying global people- and leadership development needs and priorities to build current and future capabilities
  • Provide support and expert advice to the businesses on all learning and development activities
  • Designing and delivering people development programs including leadership development in close relationship with internal team and external vendors
  • Provide line managers and employees with effective learning tools and arenas
  • Managing, facilitating, and developing our people development platform and performance management process including systems and tools
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders, thus provide excellent service in a positive, professional, energetic, and humble way
  • Contributing to organizational development and change management
  • Establish and execute on yearly action plan within agreed budget, follow up and reporting

Who you are:
You must be a truly engaged professional with high integrity, credibility, and passion for developing leaders and employees. With the variety of background and nationalities among our employees we expect you to have a true international mindset and solid understanding of different cultures and working environment. As a person you need to be service minded and customer focused, with the ability to combine daily business with strategic projects. 

We think you have:

  • Relevant university degree, preferably a master’s degree with strong academic records
  • Several years relevant experience within people development in knowledge based and international organizations
  • Relevant leadership experience, either from line- or project management where prioritising tasks and time management is key
  • Experience of identification, design, delivery, and evaluation of employee development solutions, including leadership development and vendor management
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with strong proficiency in written and spoken English. A minimum of intermediate level Norwegian is required and the candidate should have the desire and interest to develop further

Special requirements
Applicants must be of sound character with personal finances in order and must be security approved in accordance with Norges Bank’s rules. Applicants will be required to submit a police certificate of conduct. Education and work experience will be verified.
